Get involved!
For the BFDK, getting involved means that institutions, associations, individual stakeholders, collectives and artists actively commit to measures for more sustainable production from the BKFD toolkit. The BFDK sees this commitment as a first step, rather than a binding requirement. It is up to you, the users, to decide in which areas of application you wish to produce more sustainably – be it in just one or gradually in all of them.
Difficulties or resistance are part of the process and can provide valuable information on necessary adjustments. You are free to change the area of application or the measures if a chosen approach proves unproductive. Our aim is for you to gradually become more sustainable without feeling overwhelmed.
This can be done by starting with one area, for example by avoiding online orders or first checking whether materials for stage design can be reused, for example.
If you have managed to implement measures, please share your progress with us using hashtag #ichproduzierenachhaltig (I produce sustainably) on Instagram and tag the BFDK (@bfkd_ev) so that we can celebrate your first steps.
How you can take part
If you have decided to take part, we look forward to introducing you on the “Sustainable Production” toolkit website!
Simply e-mail us at nachhaltigkeit@darstellende-kuenste.de and let us know in which area(s) of application you would like to play an active role. Tell us which measures you would like to implement and why they are important to you.
The BFDK also needs the following information so that it can present you in the best possible way:
- A photo of you or your team or your logo. If you don’t have one (as yet), we will add the toolkit logo.
- your name and the title that describes your role (e.g. choreographer, theatre director, set designer, etc.)
- a short description of what you are actually doing.
We look forward to showcasing your initiatives and inspiring more people!
